About Hobo

Hobo is a boutique design hotel in Stockholm – but it’s so much more than that. It’s also an exceptional meeting place and a unique experience. It is where urbanism and modern design meet nature and a love of local flavour. Hobo’s name was inspired by the travelling lifestyle of 1930s America. For us, ‘hobo’ means a thoughtful, socially-aware and curious person, who sees themselves as a world citizen. Though we’ve taken our name from history, we strive to be progressive and are always mindful that the future is our greatest inspiration.

Welcome to Hobo.

A boutique hotel in Stockholm

Hobo is so much more than one of Stockholm’s latest design hotels. There are two floors of bar and restaurant, an event space, a stage and of course, Grandpa Kiosk our lobby shop. Hobo also has a great location, situated in the very centre of Stockholm, between Central Station and Stureplan. You can use Hobo as a meeting point, a workplace, an office or just a nice place to visit and hang out. Oh, yeah, and obviously you can stay here too. Check out our 201 amazing hotel rooms, all loaded up with handy gadgets you can borrow during your stay.

Hobo is part of Nordic Hotels & Resorts, which offers more hotels in Stockholm.

Location Brunkebergstorg

In the 1800s, Brunkebergstorg was a busy retail centre filled with boutiques, restaurants and entertainment venues. Today, though still known as a place of culture, Brunkebergstorg has fallen out of vogue – and therefore, Hobo is especially proud to be doing what it can to bring vibrancy and life back to one of Stockholm’s most interesting, central locations.

Design by Studio Aisslinger

Hobo’s unique interior is designed by the award-winning design team at Studio Aisslinger, the same people behind the Hotel Michelberger and 25h Bikini Hotel in Berlin. Hobo is the German Studio’s first project in Sweden. Collaborations with prominent local designers have further contributed to Hobo’s distinctive style. For example, during your visit to Hobo, you’ll see custom-made artwork by design duo Vår in the elevators, and Teenage Engineering’s purpose-built Flip Dot takes up an entire wall in the lobby.

Co-labs

Co-creation is at the heart of everything Hobo stands for – and we already have several partnerships that make us proud. In Hobo’s bar, you’ll see one of our very first co-lab projects. Hobo’s own IPA beer is made in collaboration with Pang Pang Brewery, one of Sweden’s smallest micro-breweries, based in the Stockholm suburb Hökarängen. More fantastic partnerships are always on their way. Watch this space.

At Six and TAK

Situated right next to us is our sister hotel At Six, a hotel of contemporary elegance. At the top floor of both buildings are the TAK restaurant ans SUS – 1000-square-meters of a roof terrace with a Nordic-Japanese menu, fantastic cocktails and some of Stockholm’s most incredible city views.
